UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2021: Since March of 2020, our construction site has made the decision to not host volunteers. Due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic, we do not have a specific reopening date. This decision was made as part of our efforts to protect our community and our own staff as we monitor COVID-19 and in accordance with guidelines from DC government. Thank you to all who have submitted an application–it has been permanently saved for when we can resume normal volunteer operations. We look forward to when we can see you on site again!
Volunteer Crew Leaders are the backbone of our construction crew! They commit to volunteering 3-4 days per month for at least six months and work closely with our construction supervisors and AmeriCorps. You will gain construction and leadership skills through this unique experience, and help to supervise small groups of volunteers to increase DC Habitat’s volunteer capacity and help us to build more homes!
